やっぱり復活
Back After All

戻ると波打つ壁紙復活の仲間外れにしていた光の壁紙もやっぱり復活させました。
Rays, previously left out of the Back & Wave Wallpapers revival, has been brought back too.

よく見ると以前の通りそこそこ動きました。元々そんなに広くはない明るくない所だけが波打つ設計だったのです。
On closer inspection, it moves just as well as before. The wave was always designed to affect only the narrower, darker areas.

Back & Wave Wallpapers Are Back!

iOS 26で型落ちとしていた『戻ると波打つ壁紙』が波打つ条件を発見しました。
The Back & Wave Wallpapers, previously considered obsolete on iOS 26, have found their wave condition.

アプリスイッチャーから直接ホームに戻るとこれまでどおり波打つ様子が楽しめます。
Returning home directly from App Switcher brings back the familiar rippling effect.

普段は静止画として、動く様子が見たければアプリスイッチャーから戻る、という使い方ならできていたのです。
ただし『光線の壁紙』は動きが悪く、ドックを隠すタイプもiOS 26には非対応扱いとします。
Use them as static wallpapers day-to-day, and return from App Switcher whenever you want to see the wave.
Note: Rays performs poorly, and dock-hiding types will be marked as incompatible with iOS 26.

追記：「透明度を下げる」はオフにしてください。アプリスイッチャーの背景が暗くなってしまいます。
Note: Turn off Reduce Transparency. It darkens the App Switcher background.

文字と背景を安定して同じにできる色はある程度限られていて、しかも色の区別がしっかりつくようにするとなると、おおむねこの5色が固定バリエーションになります。ステータスに重ねる部分以外の明るさや濃さは、白文字にならない限り自由です。
The colors that reliably match text and background are limited, and narrowing it down to those with clear distinction, these 5 end up as the fixed variations. Brightness and saturation outside the status area are free to adjust, as long as the text doesn’t turn white.

The 13 images are based on the color variations of the iMac G3, which was sold from 1998 to 2003. Since they are micro-sized, some may appear pixelated in the thumbnails, but when applied, they produce a soft, smooth effect.

iOS 26では時間帯でアイコン（とドック）の明暗が自動で変わるように設定できます。
In iOS 26, you can set app icons (and the Dock) to automatically switch between light and dark based on the time of day.

この機能はこちらのAppleサポートで示唆されていますが、設定アプリの外観モードの説明はありませんでした。
当サイトのドックを隠す壁紙でこの機能を適用すると、昼夜どちらかだけでドックを隠す設定になります。
This feature is suggested in this Apple Support article, but there was no explanation of the appearance mode in Settings.
When you apply this feature with this site’s Hide Dock Wallpapers, it becomes a setting that hides the Dock during either day or night only.
