なぜ？​
iOS (8.3〜) で小さな壁紙を使うと背景が暗くならないこととドックが画像全域から色を拾う（iOS 8〜）ことを利用、ドックとその背景部分の色がほぼ同じになるように、上部の色を調整した壁紙です。
iPadでは設定後でも横位置にすると色が合わない場合があります。またiPad Pro 12.9インチでは縦位置でも通用しないかもしれません。
iPhone 6 Plusの標準表示では「フォルダが丸くなる壁紙」よりもたくさんのフォルダが丸くなります。ただし拡大表示にすると丸くなる数が大幅に減ります。

Why?
iOS 8 or later, Dock and folders pick up the color from the background margin if using small wallpaper. ​On these wallpapers Dock color is controlled by the upper color.​ iOS 8.3 or later, the background never darkened on a too small wallpaper. (iOS 9.3 or later, there is a glitch sometimes make folders rounded on so small wallpaper.)
